Swapping traditional sausage mince for lean turkey breast mince in these flaky and golden sausage rolls. What’s even better? The hoisin sauce puts an Asian spin on this classic.

Ingredients
Turkey breast mince
500 g
Garlic
2 clove(s), crushed
Green shallot(s)
4 individual, thinly sliced
Hoisin sauce
2 tbs
Reduced-fat puff pastry
2 sheet(s), just thawed
Egg(s)
1 medium, lightly beaten
Sesame seeds
2 tsp, mixed variety
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2
Place mince, garlic, shallots and hoisin sauce in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix until well combined.
3
Cut each pastry sheet in half to give 4 rectangular strips altogether. Shape ¼ of the turkey mixture into a log along the long edge of 1 pastry strip. Brush the opposite edge lightly with egg. Roll up from filled edge to enclose filling. Place seam-side down on board and cut evenly into 6 pieces. Continue with remaining pastry and mince to make 24 sausage rolls in total.
4
Arrange rolls, seam-side down, on prepared trays. Lightly brush the tops with the remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 25 minutes, or until crisp and golden.
