Honey, hoisin sauce, and citrus juices combine to form a sweet glaze that wonderfully complements fresh salmon. Under the high heat of the grill, the honey mixture thickens and caramelises to add rich flavour to this dish.

Ingredients

Honey

1 tbs

Hoisin sauce

1 tbs

No added sugar orange juice

1 tbs

Lemon juice

2 tsp

Dijon mustard

2 tsp

Skinless salmon

520 g, (4 x 130g)

Oil spray

1 x 3 second spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill to high.
  2. Place honey, hoisin sauce, orange juice, lemon juice and mustard in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper and whisk to combine.
  3. Line a grill tray with foil and lightly spray with oil. Place fillets on prepared tray and brush with glaze. Grill for about 5 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with glaze, until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork.

Notes

For a tasty side, grill asparagus spears alongside the salmon for the last 4 minutes of cooking time.
