Bliss balls are perfect for a morning or afternoon pick-me-up. Store them in a reusable container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to2months. Thaw at room temperature or pack frozen into a snack box and they‘ll thaw and be ready to eat when the sweet cravings hit.


Canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained

¾ cup(s), (130g)

Light peanut butter

¼ cup(s), (60g), smooth variety

Brown sugar

cup(s), (75g), dark variety

Light cream cheese

1 tsp

Vanilla bean extract, alcohol free

½ tsp

Bicarbonate of soda


Plain flour

2 tbs

Dark chocolate chips

2 tbs

Icing sugar

2 tbs

Cocoa powder

2 tbs


  1. Process chickpeas, peanut butter, brown sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, bicarbonate of soda and a pinch of salt in a food processor until smooth. Add flour and chocolate chips. Pulse until just combined. Transfer mixture to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until mixture is well chilled.
  2. Sift sugar and cocoa in a shallow dish. Shape chilled mixture into 36 balls and roll in cocoa mixture to coat.
