Don't have a large grill pan? Cook the steak and vegetables in batches in a smaller one, or use an outdoor grill for extra smokiness.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

Uncooked lean beef top sirloin steak

450 gm, trimmed

Bell pepper

2 item(s), medium, quartered, medium to large

Red onion

2 medium, thickly sliced

Lemon

1 wedge(s), halved

Creole seasoning

4 tsp(s)

Fresh parsley

¼ cup(s), flat leaf, chopped

Instructions

  1. Spray a large ridged grill pan with nonstick spray and set over medium heat.
  2. To pan, add steak, bell peppers, onions, and lemon; sprinkle with Creole seasoning. Lightly spray peppers, onions, and cut sides of lemon with nonstick spray. Cook until veetables are tender, lemon is browned in spots, and an instant-read thermometer inserted into steak register 63 degrees C (145 degrees F) for medium, 6 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer steak to a cutting board and let stand 5 minutes. Cut across grain into 16 slices and arrange on a platter. Add onions and peppers. Sprinkle with parsley and squeeze lemon over top.
  4. Per serving - 4 slices steak and 150 ml (2/3 cup) vegetables
