Move over bottled dressing, make room for easy homemade. This super-flavourful recipe is great on greens or as a veggie dip.

Ingredients

Reduced calorie mayonnaise

½ cup(s)

2% reduced fat milk

6 tbsp(s)

Water

¼ cup(s)

White wine vinegar

4 tsp(s)

Minced garlic

1 tsp(s)

Dried oregano

½ tsp(s)

Dried basil

½ tsp(s)

Table salt

½ tsp(s)

Black pepper

¼ pinch, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, milk, water, vinegar, garlic, oregano, basil, salt and pepper until blended. For best flavour, cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Notes

We used dried herbs in this recipe for convenience, however, fresh herbs are wonderful, too. Substitute 15 ml (1 Tbsp) fresh herbs for each 5 ml (1 tsp) of dried herbs.
