Packaged crinkle-cut (raw) butternut squash is just begging to be turned into fries. We bake them with simple seasonings so that they’ll go with any main dish, from burgers to baked chicken to quesadillas. Look for pre-cut squash in the produce section or cut your own squash with a crinkle-cut knife. For the best browning and crisping, make sure you don’t line the pan with foil or parchment paper; contact with the hot metal is what you’re after.
