Bright red, juicy, and bursting with flavour, they are the perfect complement to this vanilla-scented eggless custard. That's not to say you can't enjoy this decadent dessert other seasons of the year. Make this with pitted cherries in summer, cranberries in fall, and chopped pears in winter.
