In a large covered saucepot, bring 6 cups of water to boil. Thoroughly rinse 1 cup whole-grain brown rice and stir into boiling water. Boil 30 minutes, adjusting temperature as needed to maintain boil without overflowing. Drain partially cooked rice and return to the pot off heat. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
