Like all spices, the flavour of chilli flakes depends on how long you've had them in the cupboard. The older they are, the less heat they impart, so you may need to add a bit more.

Ingredients

Wholemeal pasta, dry

200 g, spaghetti

Olive oil

1 tbs

Cherry tomatoes

250 g

Garlic

2 clove(s), crushed

Dried chilli flakes

1 tsp

Seafood marinara mix

500 g, (see tip)

Dry-style white wine

½ cup(s), (125ml)

Rocket

2 cup(s), (60g)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, following packet instructions, or until just tender. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook tomatoes, stirring, for 3 minutes or until slightly softened and skins are starting to split. Add garlic and chilli and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  3. Add marinara mix and cook, stirring, for 3–4 minutes or until seafood is just cooked. Add wine and bring to the boil. Add pasta and rocket and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until heated through.
