We call for whole wheat pita for more flavour and nutrition, but you can use any other variety you’d like. The spice blend is very simple, just onion powder and paprika. They would also taste as wonderful with garlic powder in place of the onion powder, or some sesame seeds for extra nutty flavour. For a little heat, add a pinch of cayenne to the spice blend before sprinkling over the breads. Depending on what kind of spreads you plan on serving these with, you can omit the salt. The chips can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days.
