We know that everyone’s weight loss and wellness journey is unique. Each person’s goals, needs, and lifestyle make up the mosaic of how you will tackle your goals, and the type of support you may need. Here, we have rounded up 10 ways your WW app can help support you along the way.

1. Weight loss support

Like many WW members, you have a weight loss goal in mind – but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start – or how to keep going. Our app is here to help and tracking your weight is a great place to start.

Your weight is only one piece of your overall wellness—and only one piece of information on any given day. But the practice—of being mindful, of paying attention to what’s working for you, or what isn’t—is really what’s key. Keeping track of your weight over time helps you discover patterns, see the bigger picture, and make changes based on your goals.

You can track your weight on the WW app by using the blue plus sign on the homescreen.. This is your opportunity to not only enter your weight but also to reflect on how your week went: What you have been focusing on, what has been going on in your life this week, how you are feeling (and answer in emojis!), and there's a place for you to add notes on any other non-scale victories, challenges, or ideas.

2. Goal setting support

Our weekly Wellness Check-in also allows you to reflect on the week and see your personalized progress reports on areas like food, fitness, mindset, and sleep. Set an action plan for the week ahead and write your goals that will appear in My Day, which can help to motivate you during the week!

The Weekly Check-In in the app is a powerful tool. - The more consistently you use it, the more helpful it will be. It’s designed for you to use once a week to check in on your progress toward your goals and to become more aware of how your patterns around eating, activity, sleep, and mindset impact each other. Finally, it guides you to set action-focused goals based on what’s happening in your life and what you’ve been learning about yourself.

We know that getting healthier and losing weight doesn’t happen by accident - it takes intention. So your weekly check-in is a moment to reflect on the week behind you and plan for the week ahead.

3. Food support

Recipes

We have thousands of recipes to choose from. Whether you are in need of a simple soup or want to pull out all the stops with a gourmet date-night masterpiece, we have recipes for all tastes. Found a recipe you just love? Use our Favourites feature to bookmark them for later! You can also use our recipe builder feature to create your very own recipes to save, track, and share!

There are a few different ways to find recipes in your WW app. One of the easiest ways to find recipes is by tapping the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left corner of your app and scrolling until you find the recipes section. This will open up a new page where you can search through thousands of recipes to track.

“What’s in your fridge” recipe suggester

Don’t know what to cook? Let us help! This feature lets you select ingredients you already have on hand and suggests recipes from our collection of more than 6,500 to make! Don’t have an ingredient, or simply don’t like something? You can exclude it! You can also set a PersonalPoints range, to ensure the recommendations fit your life.

This feature can also be accessed on the Recipes page, which can be found by tapping the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left corner of your app and scrolling until you find the recipes section.

Meal planning

Just want to know what to eat? We’ve got you covered. Our nutritionists have curated pre-made meal plans to help you get started right now. Choose from three or five-day plans, edit or add to them right in the app, and get cooking and tracking easily.

To find the meal planner in the WW app, simply tap the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left corner and scroll until you see “ Your Weekly Plan.”

Barcode scanner

For super-simple tracking of packaged products use the barcode scanner right in your app. Our database of more than 46,000 scannable foods will help you track with a tap of your finger.

The barcode scanner is an icon that looks like a series of vertical lines to the right of the Search Food field on your home screen and is a nice shortcut to tracking your Points.

Personalized recipes

The more you track WW recipes the smarter the app gets in recommending to you recipes of foods similar to what you like! See your personalized recipe recommendations in My Day, right under your articles!

5. Fitness Support: On-demand Workouts

Whether you are an exercise newbie or a fitness fanatic, we have on-demand video workouts right in your app to help you reach your goals with our partner obé.

You can also find fitness support and inspiration in the “Discover” section of our app. This is our content hub, filled with hundreds of articles for you to browse. Simply click on the Discover icon at the bottom of the app (it looks like a little newspaper icon)- then browse our curated content or search for specific exercise topics.

6. Sleep Support: Science-Backed Sleep Tools

At WW we know how important quality rest is to your overall health and wellbeing. That’s why we have developed a suite of sleep tools, to help you get quality shut-eye. From bedtime reminders, sleep playlists, and a sleep tracker, we want to help you get some well-deserved rest

You can also find sleep-related articles in the “Discover” section of our app. Simply click on the Discover icon at the bottom of the app, it is second from the right and looks like a little newspaper - then browse our curated content or search for specific sleep-related topics.

7. Mindset Support: Audio Coaching


These audio tools from Dr. Allison and Breethe deliver bite-sized behaviour change techniques that can help you stay centred, conquer the day, set intentions, and more!

These helpful audio sessions are available right in the WW app by tapping the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left corner of your “ My Day” homepage and scrolling down until you see our Mindset section.

8. Community support

Looking for some support from fellow members or WW experts? Log onto Connect, our exclusive members-only social platform where fellow WW members share their successes, tips, tricks, recipes, and of course: pet pics!

9. 24/7 Support

Our 24/7 chat service in the app is here whenever you need it where you can connect to a real WW Coach who can help you with any question about the program you may have! WW Coaches are on-call all day and night so you can get anything answered. Want to know which cocktail options are best at happy hour? Click to chat and find out. Need support at 3 a.m. in your kitchen? Your Coach is a text away.
