Crisp apple and spice crepes
A classic crepe becomes apple turnover with a twist in this divine dessert.
400 g, (sliced, canned, drained)
¼ tsp, ground
4 individual, (4 x 50g), thawed
¼ cup(s), (80ml)
1 tbs, chopped, lightly toasted
- Preheat oven to 180°C or 160°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Combine apple, brown sugar, cinnamon and cardamom in a bowl. Spoon apple mixture onto half of each crepe. Fold to enclose filling.
- Place crepes on prepared tray. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp. Drizzle with cream and sprinkle with walnuts and icing sugar to serve.
TIP: To toast walnuts, preheat oven to 200°C or 180°C fan-forced. Spread walnuts on a baking tray and bake for 3–4 minutes or until toasted.
