This easy dessert is fun for the whole family. Whole bananas are cut, through the peel, and stuffed with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, then grilled until fruit is just softened, the chocolate becomes gooey, and the marshmallows are deliciously toasted. They’re finished with a rich drizzle of peanut butter–chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

Banana

4 large

Mini chocolate chips

2 tbsp(s)

Mini marshmallows

32 item(s)

Chocolate peanut butter powder

3 tbsp(s)

Water

2½ tbsp(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat or prepare medium fire. Turn each banana so it’s curving upward. Using a paring knife, cut a slit lengthwise down the center of each banana, cutting to but not through the other side. Press on ends of banana (like you would a baked potato) to slightly open it up. Stuff 1½ tsp chocolate chips and 8 marshmallows into each banana.
  2. Cut 4 (12-in-square) pieces of heavy-duty foil. Wrap 1 foil piece around bottom of each banana, crumpling around the base of each fruit, so that it stands upright. Arrange bananas on grill. Close lid and grill until marshmallows are toasted and chocolate is melted, 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir peanut butter powder and water until smooth. Drizzle sauce evenly over bananas.
  4. Serving size: 1 stuffed banana and about 1 tbsp sauce
