Physical activity has long remained a pillar of the WW plan and now we’re introducing our smartest version of FitPoints to date. What SmartPoints did for food, FitPoints 2.0 is doing for activity!
FitPoints 2.0 take into account your height, weight, age, and sex, as well as activity and duration, to calculate a personalized FitPoints value for all of the activities you track.
Just as all calories are not created equal, the same is true for activity: 100 calories burned walking is not identical to 100 calories burned lifting weights or running. The new system represents that reality and motivates you to incorporate high intensity and strength training in your activity routine.
The most common reason members give for not engaging in regular physical activity? Time! FitPoints 2.0 helps you make the most of the time you do have.
You can earn more FitPoints in shorter amounts of time! Since strength training and high intensity activities earn extra FitPoints, these activities can help you achieve your FitPoints goal faster.
Can I change my FitPoints® 2.0 goal if I want to?
Yes. You can change your goal by going into your activity settings in the app or on ww.com.
- Click on your profile (the icon in the upper right corner)
- Tap Settings (it looks like a gear in the upper right corner)
- Tap Activity Settings > Current Goal
- Adjust up or down
- Click on your profile (the icon in the bottom right corner)
- Tap Settings
- Tap Activity Settings
- You’ll see your current goal. Tapping that will allow you to adjustit up or down.
