What are ANZAC biscuits?

The ANZAC biscuit is associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC). Long-lasting biscuits were created by the wives of soldiers and women's groups to last the long journey to the troops fighting overseas in WWI. The recipe was perfected using ingredients that did not spoil easily.

What are the ingredients for ANZAC biscuits?

Anzac biscuits use a few common pantry staples; oats, flour, sugar, butter, golden syrup, baking soda, and coconut.

We have developed some tasty variations of the traditional classic ANZAC biscuits with banana and hazelnut meal in our banana oat cookies and with the addition of cranberries in our cranberry and oat biscuits.
