Meatballs with tomato pasta
Lean Beef Mince (10% fat), raw
1 small, grated
1 small, finely chopped
1 clove(s), crushed
Dried Mixed Herbs
1 teaspoons, level
Calorie controlled cooking spray
White pasta, dry
250 g, spirals
1 pinch, and black pepper, freshly ground
- Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/200°C/400°F. Mix together the minced beef, carrot, onion, garlic, dried herbs and cumin. Season well. Form into about 24 meatballs.
- Spray a non-stick baking sheet or roasting pan with low fat cooking spray. Arrange the meatballs on top, then roast them for 20 minutes.
- Ten minutes before the meatballs are done, put the pasta on to cook in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or according to pack instructions. Drain the pasta and return to the saucepan with the tomato pasta sauce. Heat for a minute or two, then add the meatballs and stir them through gently.
