We’ve said it before and we will say it again, with Weight Watchers everything is on the menu! What’s more, most fruits and veggies are 0 SmartPoints – so feel free to make them a major part of your diet and reap their nutritional benefits, like vitamins, micronutrients, and fibre.

We took to Facebook to ask our members – who are our real-life success stories – for their favourite fruits – just in time for summer’s bounty! Use their tips and suggestions to make sure you are getting the most out of your fruits.

My fav fruit is watermelon! Nothing like some fresh cold watermelon on a hot summer day. I like to cut it into cubes as it's easy to store and grab when need be! Before I started WW I wouldn't make sure I was eating enough fruit, but since being a member for two years now it's a staple in my diet!

My go-to fruit is bananas; they’re easy to take with you and readily available. It is my go-to when I go on a long run because it is sweet, nutritious, and easy to digest. Apples are my number two fav. Someone (fellow ambassador Gail Carpenter) shared in a meeting to slice apples, add a bit of lemon juice and fresh (or dry) thyme. OMG, game changer - absolutely delicious! I also love to make crock pot applesauce. I don't even peel the apples. Just cut, add cinnamon, and put on high for a couple of hours. Then I use a potato masher and voila, easy peasy!

My favourite fruit, and I’m sure it is for many others, is bananas! It's already sealed and has a container, so no need for storage and is easy to just grab and go! They're also super filling and satisfying.

Other than that, I really love melons – specifically watermelons and cantaloupes! They keep so well and have such a high water content that they keep me satisfied on hot days.

But let's be real, I love ALL fruit, I can't REALLY pick just one!

Grapes are my favorite, this is a great time of year for them. Just wash and go!

My favourite is bananas. I love all fruit - cherries would be number two, and apples. What I do sometimes is get Source apple cinnamon yogurt put into a bowl. I then bake apples in the oven with cinnamon and a spray butter-flavoured cooking spray. I put that into the Greek yogurt. Soooo good it's like having a heavenly dessert, but very healthy!

Fruit is my favourite thing, even before WW. I could not pick just one that I love best. My most common every day fruits are oranges, apples, and grapes. I add frozen cranberries to my steel cut crock pot oatmeal. In the winter I love frozen fruit and canned no sugar added fruit. In the fall I go for Coronation grapes and in the winter I hoard persimmons. Honestly I could never live without fruit of all kinds. Melon = love. Also, a nice bosc pear and if you have never tried them, custard apple or tamarind are great exotic fruits! Ok now I need to go eat more fruit...

I Love them all, but local strawberries are making me happy. Here's a tip for making them last longer: give them a 10-minute soak in 1/4 cup of vinegar and two litres of water. It will stop mold from forming and your strawberries will stay nice in the fridge for longer.

One of my favorite fruits is blueberries. When you freeze them they're like candy. I love having them with plain fat-free Greek yogurt with just a sprinkle of sweetener for the tartness. They're perfect for summer and half a cup of the yogurt is 1 point. No brainer! Yum.

I love raspberries and eat them every morning. I also love warming up fresh pineapple with a tiny pinch of cinnamon sugar, and freezing grapes with sugar free Jell-O. Simply wash the grapes, then shake in a bag with one to two teaspoons of sugar-free Jell-O powder and freeze at least an hour, so good and no points!
