What could be more satisfying than a hearty bowl of creamy sausage pasta?


Ingredients
Calorie controlled cooking spray
4 spray(s)
Red onion
½ small
Fennel
½ portion(s), medium
Turkey sausages, grilled
2 sausage(s), grilled
Fennel Seeds
½ teaspoon(s), level
Chicken stock cube(s)
¼ cube(s), 75ml stock
Reduced fat soured cream
2 tablespoon(s), level
Wholewheat Pasta, dry

Mist a medium nonstick frying pan with cooking spray and cook the onion and fennel for 8-10 minutes over a low heat until al dente. Increase the heat to high, add the sausage meat and fennel seeds and cook for 5-6 minutes until the meat is browned. Add the chicken stock and soured cream and stir until well combined. Season to taste.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pan of boiling water for 10-12 minutes until tender. Drain and add the pasta to the pan of sauce. Toss to coat and serve garnished with the reserved fennel fronds.
