Try this simple recipe for home-made low-fat burgers using lean turkey mince with herbs and seasonings. Serve with salad in sesame seed buns.

Ingredients

Turkey Mince, raw

450 g, lean

Onion

1 small, chopped very finely

Dried Mixed Herbs

1 teaspoon(s)

Worcestershire Sauce

3 teaspoon(s)

Salt

1 pinch, and freshly ground black pepper

Burger bun

4 medium, with sesame seeds

Tomato

2 medium, sliced

Lettuce

8 leaf/leaves, small

Pickled gherkins, no added sugar

1 large, drained, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix together the turkey mince, onion, mixed herbs and Worcestershire (or Tabasco) sauce. Season with salt and pepper, then form into 4 burgers.
  2. Preheat the grill. Place the burgers on to the grill rack and grill for about 10 minutes, turning once.
  3. Split the buns and toast the cut sides lightly. Serve filled with the burgers, tomato and lettuce.
