Ingredients

Onion

½ medium, finely chopped

Extra Lean Pork Mince (5% fat), raw

500 g

Lemon grass stems

1 individual, chopped

Chilli, green or red

1 individual, finely chopped

Root Ginger

1 tablespoon(s), grated

Mint, Fresh

2 tablespoon(s), chopped

Lime

1 medium, zest

Thai Fish Sauce

2 teaspoon(s)

Egg, whole, raw

1 medium, raw, beaten

Calorie controlled cooking spray

Sweet Chilli Sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the onion, pork mince, lemon grass, chilli, ginger, mint, lime juice, fish sauce and the egg until combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 patties about 2cm thick. Mist a griddle pan or frying pan with cooking spray and put over a medium heat. Cook the burgers for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, or until cooked through.
  3. To make a chilli mayo, mix the mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce together and set aside. Serve each burger in a roll with the extra mint leaves, cabbage, carrot and chilli mayo.
