Make an elegant light meal with fresh tuna steak, lightly seared, then served with a refreshing cucumber salad.

Ingredients
Cucumber
¼ serving(s), , peeled and thinly sliced
Red onion
½ medium, thinly sliced
Rice Wine Vinegar
2 tablespoon(s)
Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon(s)
Tuna, raw
2 steak(s), medium, fresh steak
Calorie controlled cooking spray
5 spray(s)
Watercress
1 bunch(es), or pea shoots
Wasabi paste
2 teaspoon(s), level
Soy Sauce
2 teaspoon(s)
Instructions
1
First prepare the salad by mixing together the cucumber, red onion, vinegar and soy sauce.
2
Next, heat a non-stick frying pan over a high heat. Mist with cooking spray then add the tuna to the pan, cooking over a high heat to sear the fish for 1-2 minutes. Turn over and cook the other side for the same time - avoid overcooking it, or else it will be tough. Remove from the pan and allow it to rest for 1-2 minutes.
3
Slice the tuna thinly using a sharp knife. Arrange on 2 serving plates with the cucumber salad. Serve with some watercress or pea shoots, with wasabi paste and soy sauce for dipping.
