Tapas is always a crowd pleaser, but can be high in SmartPoints. Try these meatballs as part of a Spanish platter.

Ingredients

Lean Pork Mince (10% fat), raw

300 g

Red onion

½ medium

Garlic

1 clove(s)

Olive Oil

1 teaspoon(s)

Passata

125 g

Chilli flakes

1 pinch

Red wine vinegar

5 ml

Instructions

  1. To make the meatballs, put the mince, onion and garlic in a bowl and season. Using wet hands, roll 1⁄2 tbsp of the mixture into a ball and repeat until all the mixture is used up.
  2. Heat half the oil in a pan over a medium-high heat. Cook half the meatballs for 2 minutes on each side, or until just browned. Repeat with the remaining oil and meatballs. Put all the meatballs into the pan with the passata and chilli flakes, then bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, adding a splash of water if the sauce becomes too thick. Stir in the vinegar and season to taste. Put the meatballs into a serving bowl, and enjoy!
