Enjoy these tasty pork burgers, fired up with chilli and mustard - can be cooked on the barby too!
Ingredients
  • Lean Pork Mince (10% fat), raw
    450 g
  • Onion(s)
    1 medium
  • Carrots, raw
    1 medium
  • Sweetcorn, canned, drained
    50 g
  • Dijon Mustard
    12 teaspoons, level
  • Chilli flakes
    1 teaspoons, level
  • Dried Mixed Herbs
    2 teaspoons
  • Black pepper
    1 g
  • Salt
    1 pinch
  • Burger Bun(s)
    4 medium
  • Lettuce
    1 portion(s)
  • Tomato
    1 large
  • Pickled Gherkins, drained
    1 large
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced pork, onion, carrot, sweetcorn, mustard, chilli flakes and herbs. Season with salt and pepper. Use your hands to shape the mixture into 4 burgers. Cover and chill, if cooking them later.
  2. Preheat the grill or a char-grill pan. Grill or char-grill the burgers for 12-15 minutes, turning them over once, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Lightly toast the burger buns on the cut sides only. Put some lettuce onto the bun bases, then add the burgers, sliced tomatoes and gherkins, then pop the bun tops in place.
