Plum and Apple Compote with Spiced Yogurt

Never underestimate just how delicious a simple poached fruit compote can be – this is so yummy!


Ingredients
Plums
500 g, halved and pitted
Apple
2 medium, eating, peeled, cored and sliced
Apple juice
200 ml, as purchased, unsweetened
Cinnamon Stick
1 stick(s)
Muscovado Sugar
2 tablespoon(s), dark
Artificial sweetener
1 teaspoon(s)
Fat Free Natural Yogurt
200 g
Mixed Spice
½ teaspoon(s), level
Instructions

Put the plums, apples and apple juice into a large saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick and muscovado sugar. Heat and simmer gently, without a lid, for about 10 minutes or until the fruit is tender. Leave to cool for 10-15 minutes. Taste and add powdered sweetener, if required.

Stir the yogurt and mixed spice together. Serve with the fruit compote.
