Healthy and warming, porridge for breakfast can keep you satisfied until lunch.

Ingredients

Porridge oats

120 g

Skimmed Milk

500 ml

Ground Cinnamon

1 teaspoon(s), level, plus extra to serve

Pear

2 medium, large

Lemon Juice, Fresh

1 teaspoon(s)

0% fat natural Greek yogurt

4 tablespoon(s)

Instructions

  1. Put the porridge oats in a large pan. Add the skimmed milk, 250ml of water and the cinnamon, stir well, then put over a medium heat and bring to the boil.
  2. Reduce the heat, and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously, until thick and creamy.
  3. Core and grate one of the pears, and stir it into the porridge. Slice the other pear and toss with the lemon juice.
  4. Divide the porridge between 4 bowls and top each bowl with the sliced pear, 1 tablespoon 0% fat natural Greek yogurt and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
