Pear & almond crumble

Naturally sweet pears keep this pudding low in sugar, so it won’t send you off track


Ingredients
Calorie controlled cooking spray
4 spray(s), butter flavour
Pear
650 g, Conference, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
Plain White Flour
125 g
Low Fat Spread
50 g
Demerara Sugar
45 g
Ground Almonds
50 g
Almonds
20 g, flaked
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan 180°C, gas mark 6. Mist a 20cm oval baking dish with cooking spray.

Put the pears in a medium pan, cover with boiling water and set over a medium heat. Simmer for 7 minutes, or until the pears are just tender. Drain, then arrange the slices over the base of the dish.

Put the flour and spread in a medium bowl then rub together using your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and ground and flaked almonds, then stir to combine. Sprinkle the crumble over the pears then mist with cooking spray.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving.
