The queen of of all things dippable, houmous is ridiculously simple to whip up, ready for an impromptu snack.

Ingredients

Chickpeas, cooked

1 can(s), large, drained, drained, liquid reserved

Lemon Juice, Fresh

1 tablespoons

Olive Oil

1 tablespoons

Olive Oil

½ teaspoons, to drizzle

Tahini paste (Sesame paste)

1½ tablespoons

Garlic

1 clove(s)

Ground Cumin

½ teaspoons, level

Paprika

1 pinch, smoked

Instructions

  1. Put the chickpeas in a food processor, reserving a spoonful to garnish. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, garlic, cumin and 3 tbsp of the reserved chickpea water. Whizz until smooth. Season to taste.
  2. Spoon into a bowl and top with the reserved chickpeas. Dust with the paprika and drizzle with the remaining oil.
