The perfect start to a busy day, this deliciously filling smoothie is topped with caramelised oats.


Ingredients
Porridge oats
50 g
Demerara Sugar
1 teaspoon(s), level
Ground Cinnamon
1 pinch
Banana
1 medium
Unsweetened Soya Milk
300 ml
Vanilla Extract
0.25 teaspoon(s), level
Agave Syrup
1 teaspoon(s), level
Instructions

Dry-fry the extra 10g porridge oats with the demerara sugar and cinnamon in a pan over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the oats are toasted and the sugar has caramelised. Remove from the heat and set aside.

In a blender, whizz the 40g porridge oats, banana, soya milk, vanilla extract and agave until smooth.

Pour the smoothie into the glasses and serve topped with the toasted oat mixture.
