A batch of homemade granola is easy to whip up, and it keeps well so you can easily double the recipe to store and save you time later down the line.
Wheat Bran, Dried

- Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas mark 4.
- Spread the oats and wheat bran on a large baking tray. Bake, stirring often, for 10 minutes until lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, combine the almonds, honey, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Add the toasted oat mixture and stir to combine. Spread the mixture back onto the baking sheet and bake, stirring often, for 10 minutes until the mixture is dark golden brown.
- Transfer to a bowl, then stir in the raisins and flaxseed. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
For a filling breakfast, serve 35g granola per person with a handful of fresh fruit and 150g 0% fat natural Greek yogurt. The recipe will no longer be dairy free. SmartPoints would be 7 for Green, 5 for Blue and 4 for Purple.
