Mulled wine & orange jellies

Enjoy these lovely and light festive jellies made with red wine and warmed with spices.
Cloves, Whole or Ground
Unsweetened Orange Juice
1 sachet(s), plus 1 tsp
½ small, and ¼ clementine or satsuma, thinly sliced, to decorate
- Put the wine into a saucepan with the spices and sugar. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar has dissolved, but do not allow the mixture to boil. Stir in the orange juice. Remove from the heat and infuse for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, pour 100ml boiling water into a measuring jug. Cool for 2 minutes, then sprinkle the gelatine powder into it, stirring to disperse. Allow to dissolve for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, to give a completely clear liquid.
- Remove the spices from the red wine mixture, then stir in the gelatine liquid. Pour into 4 glasses, then transfer to the fridge to set for 2-3 hours. Serve, decorated with slices of plum and clementine or satsuma.
