Sesame broccoli

This side dish comes together in a flash and just might get kids into broccoli. (Props to the sauce.) Add more colour with red pepper strips or carrot coins.

Ingredients

Broccoli, raw

250 g, florets, fresh or frozen

Tamari soya sauce

2 tablespoon(s)

Agave Syrup

1 tablespoon(s), level

Sesame Oil

2 teaspoon(s)

Sesame Seeds

2 teaspoon(s)

Garlic

1 clove(s), crushed

Instructions

In a large saucepan, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Arrange the broccoli florets in a steamer basket. Set the basket in the pan. Cover and steam for 4 minutes, until the broccoli is cooked, but still with some bite.

Meanwhile, in a serving bowl, stir together the tamari, agave, oil, sesame seeds and the garlic. Add the broccoli and toss until well combined.
