These luscious peaches are served still warm with a citrus cream –velvety smooth quark flavoured with vanilla and orange

Ingredients

Quark, fat free, plain

150 g

Caster Sugar

1 teaspoon(s)

Vanilla pod

¼ individual, seeds

Freshly squeezed orange juice

27 ml

Orange

½ zest(s) of 1

Peach

6 medium, halved and destoned

Pomegranate

1 medium, seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. To make the citrus cream, combine the quark, sugar, vanilla seeds and orange zest and juice. Set aside and chill until needed.
  2. Preheat a griddle pan over a medium-high heat. Add the peaches, cut side down, and cook for 3 minutes on each side until softened and lightly charred.
  3. Divide the warm peaches among 4 serving bowls and scatter with the pomegranate seeds. Serve with a spoonful of the citrus cream.
