Eggs baked in roast ham with soldiers

Line muffin tins with roast ham, break in some eggs, then bake for a cracking treat.

Olive Oil

Prepacked ham
8 slice(s), thin , or boiled ham (225g)
Egg, whole, raw
4 medium, raw, British Lion
Calorie Controlled White Bread

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/200°C/400°F/ fan oven 180°C.

Grease 4 ramekins or individual ovenproof dishes with the olive oil. Line each of these with 2 slices of ham, so that there are no gaps.

Carefully crack an egg into each dish. Season with a little salt and pepper. Transfer to the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, depending on how well you like your eggs cooked.

Serve with the bread or toast, cut into soldiers.
