So, you want a cheeseburger with all the works, but want to keep Points low? This colourful meal has your name written all over it.

Ingredients

Calorie controlled cooking spray

Extra lean beef mince (5% fat), raw

500 g

Onion

1 medium, finely chopped

Lettuce

200 g, Romaine, chopped

Tomato

4 large, finely chopped

Pickled gherkins, no added sugar

4 medium, drained, sliced

Half fat Cheddar cheese

80 g

Red onion

½ medium, thinly sliced

Tomato ketchup

1 tablespoon(s)

Reduced Fat Mayonnaise

2 tablespoon(s)

Smooth Mustard

1½ teaspoon(s), level, American

Worcestershire Sauce

½ teaspoon(s)

Instructions

  1. Mist a large nonstick frying pan with cooking spray and heat over a medium-high heat. Add the beef and a pinch of salt. Reserve 1 tablespoon of onion and add the remaining onion to the pan. Cook for 7-9 minutes, stirring until the beef is cooked through and no longer pink. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, divide the lettuce between 4 bowls, then top each bowl with 1 chopped tomato, 1 sliced gherkin, 20g cheese and the red onion.
  3. Make the burger sauce by stirring together all the ingredients and the remaining white onion.
  4. Divide the beef mixture among the bowls of lettuce and serve with the burger sauce on the side.
