Cheese fondue with veggie dippers
For an easy, cheesy dinner that’s made for sharing, try this fun fondue.
Plain White Flour
1 teaspoon(s), level
Half Fat Cheddar Cheese
100 g, grated
1 portion(s), medium, thin stemmed broccoli
- Put the milk in a medium pan and whisk in the flour and mustard. Put over a medium heat and whisk continually while the milk comes to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Take the sauce off the heat and stir in the grated cheese, a handful at a time until it has melted. Season to taste and transfer the sauce to a fondue set if you have one, or an earthenware bowl, then serve immediately with the vegetable crudités for dipping.
