Blackberry & apple porridge
A great way to start the day
1 medium, peeled, chopped
Lemon Juice, Fresh
1 teaspoon(s), level
Light Brown Sugar
- Cook the apple with the lemon juice, demerara sugar and 1 tbsp water over a medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add the blackberries, a further 1 tbsp water and a pinch of cinnamon, and cook for 2–3 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the porridge oats in a pan with 300ml water and 150ml skimmed milk over a low heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
- Divide between bowls, top with extra fruit and the light brown sugar.
