Love your lunch with this hearty steak sandwich. It will keep you feeling full until dinner time.

Ingredients

Cuisine de France Petits Pains

2 individual

Beef sirloin steak, lean, raw

100 g, any visible fat removed

Calorie controlled cooking spray

10 spray(s)

Onion

1 small, use red, finely sliced

Balsamic vinegar

2 teaspoon(s)

Rocket

1 portion(s), leaves, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to gas mark 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Bake the petits pains for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, fry the steak for 3–5 minutes, turning once, until cooked to taste. Remove from the pan, cover with foil and leave to rest.
  3. Mist the frying pan with cooking spray and add the onion. Fry for 5 minutes, or until softened. Add the balsamic vinegar and fry, stirring, for 3–4 more minutes. Split open the petits pains and fill with the steak, onions and rocket leaves. Serve immediately.
