Ingredients

Plain Tofu

450 g

Tamari soya sauce

2 tablespoon(s)

Sesame Oil

1 tablespoon(s)

Rice Wine Vinegar

2 teaspoon(s)

Garlic

2 clove(s)

Root Ginger

½ teaspoon(s)

Cornflour

1 teaspoon(s), level

Instructions

1

Wrap the tofu in kitchen paper and put on a plate. Put another plate on top and weigh it down using a full tin of food. Leave for 30 minutes to drain, then pour off the liquid and cut into cubes.

2

In a large bowl, combine the tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Add the tofu and marinate for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

3

Preheat air fryer, if necessary, to 200°C. Transfer the tofu from the marinade to a plate using a slotted spoon. Using a fine sieve, sprinkle with cornstarch, turning the tofu as you go. Pour any remaining marinade into a small serving dish.

4

Air-fry the tofu in a single layer (in batches, if necessary) for 12-15 mins, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown. Serve with the reserved marinade for drizzling.
