Warm Brownie Sundae Cake

Individually wrap brownies in plastic wrap and freeze. When a chocolate craving hits, pull a brownie from the freezer and prepare your sundae.

unsweetened cocoa powder¼ cup(s)
baking soda¼ tsp
unsweetened applesauce¼ cup(s)
vegetable oil3 Tbsp
egg white(s)1 large
vanilla extract1 tsp
fat-free vanilla ice cream3 cup(s)
chocolate syrup¾ cup(s), fat-free
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil. Coat foil with cooking spray; set aside.
- Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa and soda in a medium bowl. Combine applesauce and next four ingredients and stir with a whisk; gradually add to dry ingredients, stirring just until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F for 18 minutes. (Wooden pick will not come out clean.)
- Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into 12 squares; cut each square in half diagonally, creating triangles. Arrange two triangles on each serving plate. Spoon 1⁄4 cup ice cream on top of each serving. Drizzle each serving with 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup. Serve immediately. Yield: 12 servings (serving size: 1 brownie sundae).
