Ingredients

Nutritional yeast

1½ Tbsp

Garlic powder

¼ tsp

Italian seasoning

¼ tsp

Table salt

½ tsp, divided

Silken tofu

12 oz

Self-rising flour

2½ cup(s)

Cooking spray

2 spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the nutritional yeast, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and 1/4 tsp salt. Set aside.
  3. In a blender or food processor, puree the tofu until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl. Add the flour and salt. Stir to combine. With hands, knead until dough comes together in a mostly smooth ball(dust hands with a little extra flour to avoid too much sticking).
  4. Cut the dough ball in half. Divide each half into 5 pieces for a total of 10 pieces. Roll, stretch, and shape each piece into a 4-inch log. Place on lined baking sheet. Coat dough logs with cooking spray. Sprinkle evenly with the nutritional yeast mixture.
  5. Bake breadsticks for 20 minutes. Then broil on High for 1 minute, until tops are golden brown.
  6. Serving size: 1 breadstick
