Memphis-style BBQ is all about the sweet and spicy dry rub! Ours is made with brown sugar, spices, and dried herbs and delivers lots of flavor. Perfect for a batch of ribs or a slow-roasted pork shoulder, this rub can also be used on chicken and fish. While the rub is key, the thin and zingy sauce adds to the whole BBQ experience. You might want to make a double batch so it's at the ready all summer long.


Ingredients
Packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp
Paprika
2 Tbsp
Dry mustard
4 tsp
Garlic powder
4 tsp
Dried thyme
1 Tbsp
Cayenne pepper
2 tsp
Ground cumin
2 tsp
Onion powder
2 tsp
Smoked paprika
2 tsp
Black pepper
1 tsp
Instructions

In spice or coffee mill (or using mortar and pestle), finely grind all ingredients. Store in airtight container for up to 6 months.
