Turkey and Roasted Pepper Sandwich

Layer the sandwich with baby spinach leaves or other favorite leafy green.

lemon zest2 tsp
Italian seasoning½ tsp, or dried oregano
black pepper¼ tsp
whole wheat bread8 slice(s)
deli sliced turkey12 oz, shredded ( 1 1/2 cups)
roasted red peppers (packed in water)½ cup(s), thinly sliced
- Mash together the cream cheese, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly over 4 slices of the bread. Layer evenly with the turkey, roasted red pepper, and basil. Cover with the remaining slices of bread. Cut each sandwich in half. Yields 1 sandwich per serving.
