This dish is so quick to make, you can whip it up for lunch - especially if you have the pasta already cooked and stored in the fridge. Just reheat the pasta in the microwave or stir it into the hot sauce until heated through. Although this is not a traditional puttanesca sauce, the use of a bottled Italian dressing is a great short-cut that adds a lot of flavor, fast.
Ingredients
Canned diced tomatoes
14½ oz
Canned tuna packed in water
10 oz, solid, white
Reduced-calorie Italian salad dressing
½ cup(s)
Olives
8 olive(s), large, black, pitted and chopped
Fresh basil
1 Tbsp, fresh, chopped
Garlic
1 clove(s), minced
Table salt
⅛ tsp, or to taste
Black pepper
⅛ tsp, or to taste
Cooked fettuccine
4 cup(s), kept hot
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except pasta.

Bring to a boil; simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
