This dish is so quick to make, you can whip it up for lunch; a great alternative to a tuna fish sandwich!

Ingredients

canned diced tomatoes

14½ oz

water-packed tuna fish drained

10 oz, solid, white

fat-free Italian salad dressing

½ cup(s)

olive(s)

8 large, black, pitted and chopped

basil

1 Tbsp, fresh, chopped

garlic clove(s)

1 medium clove(s), minced

table salt

tsp, or to taste

black pepper

tsp, or to taste

cooked fettucine

4 cup(s), kept hot

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except pasta.
  2. Bring to boil; simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve over hot fettuccine. Yields about 1 cup sauce and 1 cup pasta per serving.
