Tuna and White Bean Dip

Serve this protein-rich spread on slices of zucchini or celery sticks. It’s also good with warmed pita bread or sesame breadsticks.
canned white beans15 ½ oz, rinsed and drained
canned chunk white tuna in water6 oz, drained
basil3 Tbsp, fresh, chopped
fresh lemon juice1 Tbsp
olive oil1 Tbsp, extra-virgin
capers1 tsp, drained
garlic clove(s)1 clove(s), medium, chopped
table salt¼ tsp
black pepper¼ tsp, freshly ground
- Process the beans, tuna, basil, lemon juice, oil, capers, garlic, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and serve at once. Or refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve, up to 1 day. Yields 1/4 cup per serving.
