Tuna and White Bean Dip

Serve this protein-rich spread on slices of zucchini or celery sticks. It’s also good with warmed pita bread or sesame breadsticks.
Ingredients
Canned white beans
15½ oz, rinsed and drained
Canned chunk white tuna in water
6 oz, drained
Fresh basil
3 Tbsp, fresh, chopped
Fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp
Olive oil
1 Tbsp, extra-virgin
Capers
1 tsp, drained
Garlic
1 clove(s), chopped
Table salt
¼ tsp
Black pepper
¼ tsp, freshly ground
Instructions

Process the beans, tuna, basil, lemon juice, oil, capers, garlic, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and serve at once. Or refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve, up to 1 day. Yields 1/4 cup per serving.
