Adding spinach to the smoothie gives it a nice nutrient boost since spinach is high in vitamins C and K, folic acid, iron, and calcium. Using frozen pineapple makes the smoothie nice and cold without the need for ice. If you prefer to use fresh pineapple, however, that’s okay (you may want to add a few ice cubes to the blender).

Ingredients

Baby spinach

2 cup(s)

Banana

½ medium, chopped

Frozen pineapple chunks

½ cup(s)

Plain unsweetened almond milk

8 fl oz

Instructions

  1. Place spinach, banana, and pineapple in a blender; top with almond milk and puree until thick and creamy.
  2. Serving size: 1 cup
