This protein-rich snack is packed with flavor. Double the recipe and serve it with cocktails instead of mixed nuts.
Ingredients

artificially sweetened ready-to-eat cereal

2 cup(s), multi-bran chex (or similar product)

soybean nuts

1 cup(s)

puffed rice cereal

1 cup(s)

slivered almonds

½ cup(s)

teriyaki sauce

2½ Tbsp

vegetable oil

2½ tsp

sesame oil

1½ tsp

ground ginger

2 tsp

wasabi powder

1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Chex, soybean nuts, puffed rice and almonds. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and toss to coat; spread on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake, stirring after 5 minutes, until lightly brown and crispy, about 2 to 3 minutes more. Remove from oven and let cool. Yields a slightly rounded 1/2 cup per serving.
