Teriyaki sauce and cilantro add new dimension to candied sweet potatoes. It's an easy three-ingredient side dish for Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

1 spray(s)

Teriyaki sauce

¼ cup(s), regular or reduced-sodium

Cilantro

¼ cup(s), fresh, chopped

Uncooked sweet potato

2 large, peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks (about 2 pounds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce and cilantro. Add sweet potatoes and toss to coat.
  3. Transfer sweet potatoes to prepared baking sheet and bake until fork-tender, about 40 minutes. Yields about 3/4 cup per serving.

Notes

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings.
