uncooked old fashioned oats2 cup(s)
dark brown sugar1 Tbsp
vanilla extract¾ tsp

- In a medium-size bowl, toss strawberries with granulated sugar; set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, bring milk and water to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in oats, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt and cinnamon; cook, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Serve oatmeal with strawberry topping. Yields about 3/4 cup oatmeal and 1/2 cup topping per serving.
