Spicy Curry Dip

Toasting the curry powder releases the fragrance and flavor of this pungent spice and adds a significantly different taste to the dip.
fat free mayonnaise½ cup(s)
reduced-fat sour cream½ cup(s)
uncooked onion(s)2 Tbsp, minced
Worcestershire sauce1 tsp
garlic clove(s)1 clove(s), medium, minced
hot pepper sauce⅛ tsp, or 4 drops
curry powder1 Tbsp
- Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and hot pepper sauce in a small bowl.
- Toast the curry powder in a small dry skillet over low heat, stirring constantly, until fragrant, 1–2 minutes. Stir the curry powder into the mayonnaise mixture. Refrigerate, covered, until the flavors are blended, at least 30 minutes or up to overnight. Yields 2 table spoons per serving.
