Put a new spin on burger night with these quick and delicious chicken burgers. Served with the blue cheese dressing, they are akin to a buffalo wing profile, zesty and flavorful. Serve on a whole wheat bun, bunless over mixed greens, or in a romaine lettuce leaf. Try this recipe with ground turkey breast if you prefer.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

5 spray(s)

Cooked ground chicken breast

1 pound(s)

Scallions

2 medium, thinly sliced

Dried plain breadcrumbs

3 Tbsp

Hot pepper sauce

2 Tbsp, such as Frank's

Table salt

½ tsp

Light blue cheese salad dressing

¼ cup(s)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the chicken, scallions, breadcrumbs, pepper sauce, and salt in a medium bowl until combined well but not overmixed. With damp hands, shape the mixture into 4 (4-inch) patties.
  2. Spray a ridged grill pan with cooking spray and set over medium heat. Spray the patties with cooking spray, place in the pan, and cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the side of a burger registers 165°F, about 5 minutes per side. Drizzle the burgers with the blue cheese dressing.
  3. Serving size: 1 burger and 1 tbsp dressing
